Air Fried Sesame Chicken

*Serve 2 - 3 pax — Marinated chicken - marinate for at least 30 minutes

  • 1 boneless chicken thigh meat (220g / 0.485lb / 7.8oz)
  • 1/2 tablespoon of oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon of five-spice powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon of Chinese cooking wine
  • 1/2 an egg white
  • 2 tablespoons of cornflour (cornstarch) 

Coat the chicken well with cornflour before airfrying. Dab or spray some oil on the chicken before airfrying and leave them to sit for 15 minutes before airfrying. Air fry at 200C (392F) for 10 minutes or until crispy.

SAUCE(80ml of water)

  • 3 cloves of chopped garlic
  • 1 thumb size ginger - grated
  • 2 tablespoons of light soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • Some cornstarch solution (mix some cornflour /cornstarch with water to get a runny solution)
  • A generous amount of toasted sesame seeds
